I have been posting numerous tips and how to's on article marketing and I would like to add to this discussion a bit further.
The main reason for using articles is to get your message out about your product or service to the massive internet community. This is not about selling. Articles are to be informative.
Articles are a great way to personally brand yourself so people can learn more about you and your business. Articles will be a bridge that will build trust between a buyer and a seller developing a relationship of mutual respect.
There is a place called a authors resource box below the article where it is permissible to pitch your business tell others about your qualifications and basically about who you are. Tute your horn its okay. If the reader likes your article they will want to go to your web site to find out more.
The article directories let you put a live link in this resource box making it easy for interested readers to link to your web site.
Tip: Write a great resource box before hand and put save it into a word doc so it can easily be copied and pasted into the appropriate area. This is a real time saver.
Tip: Many article directories want a short summuary of your article telling basically what your article is about. Again write this summary into a word doc and when it is asked for just simply copy and paste.
